The Department of Health and Aged Care runs regular webinars for the aged care sector and IT professionals on their digital transformation work which aims to create a better-connected aged care sector by simplifying, digitising and automating points of connection between clients, providers, the software industry, and government.

3. Complaints and Continuous Improvement in Practice
This webinar, hosted last month by the ACQSC, puts a spotlight on the Aged Care Quality Standard 6 – Feedback and complaints and discusses what each of the requirements mean in practice for everyone. This includes what consumers, family, and carers should know and look out for, and what best practice looks like for providers and aged care workers.

4. Staffing Obligations and Mandatory Care Minutes
In this webinar, the ACQSC talk about recent changes to residential service staffing obligations including mandatory care minutes and the 24/7 registered nurse responsibilities.
In particular, the webinar covers:

6. Foundations of the new Aged Care Act
In response to recommendations from the Royal Commission into Aged Care Quality and Safety, the Government is building a new Aged Care Act to replace the existing Aged Care Act 1997 (Cth) and the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission Act 2018 (Cth). This will have a major impact on how aged care is regulated, and therefore a profound impact on the operations of aged care providers.
